This Spring we've got several tournaments planned. In addition to those tournaments we will be running whichever handicapped ladders (14.1, Straight Rail Billiards, 8-ball, 9-Ball, 3 Cushion Billiards, and Snooker) are showing sufficient interest.
This is a tentative schedule (but times may change so please keep an eye here if you're interested in playing any of these tournaments).

3-Cushion Billiards --
Weekday evenings Feburary 10 through April 17.
(This tournament is open to students, faculty, staff and
alumni of New Mexico Tech.)
The entry deadline for this tournament is Tuesday, February 4, at 6:30pm.
The format of the tournament will be based on number of entries (will go Round Robin with 4 or 5 players). Current plan is to take top finishers from Round Robin play into a Single Elimination. Three, unhadicapped, divisions will be offered. This tournament may be handicapped if cross-division play takes place.

One Pocket --
February 17 through April 24.
(This tournament is open to students, faculty, staff, and
alumni of New Mexico Tech.)
Tournament format is dependent on number of entrants per division. (Leaning, each division, towards Round Robin play into a Single Elimination.) Play will use NPL skill ratings to set handicaps.
Entry deadline is 6:30 pm Tuesday, February 11.
There will be a mandatory pre-tournament meeting for all entrants at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 4, to review the operation of the tournament. This will also be the last chance to withdraw. Play will begin after the meeting.
Handicapped Straight Tournament
-- February 24 through April 3.
Entry deadline is 6:30 pm Tuesday, February 18.
The format is currently planned to be a double elimination. A minimum of six contestants is required for the tournament to run.
Matches will be to 75-points. Handicaps will be based on a player's career LBPI on the 44-pt ladder. An 85-percent handicap will be used. The maximum spot will be 125 points.
Carom-Snooker-14.1 --
March 28, 29, and 30 (and if needed: April 4, 5, and 6).
( This is a Plaque event.)
Entry deadline is Tuesay, 25 March, at 6:30pm. The tournament bracket and time-line will be posted by Thursday at 6:30pm. Play will start after 1:00pm on Friday, 28 March. Players from out of town will be scheduled on Saturday when possible, or as late on Friday as possible.
Format of this tournament will depend on the number of entrants. Where possible it will be round robin. As this tournament is also know as the "Best Player" tournament there will only be one division and play will not be handicapped. Any number of people may sign up for the tournament but the field will be limited to the best sixteen entrants. If more than sixteen people sign up for the tournament those after the sixteenth seed will be considered as alternates. The top players will be seeded first; alternates will enter as needed based on their ranking (not necessarily order of sign-up). Rankings will be determined by the tournament director.
There is no entry fee. Donations to the Billy Aardd's Club prize fund are welcome though. The sign-up sheet is at the attendant's counter in the SUB gameroom. Out of town entries can be made by contacting the tournament director (email, with appropriate subject line, preferred).
