There must be at least 6 entries for this tournament to run. The field will be limited to 16 players. If there are more than 16 entries the Tournament Director (TD) will choose the better 16 players to compete in the tournament (the remaining entries may start as an alternate if a starter doesn't start their first match). This restriction is unfortunately due to time constraints.
Players will be seeded by their known ability. Failing that they will
be placed in the remaining slots by random draw.
The format of the tournament will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION on a match basis. Each match will consist of the best 2 of 3 sets. The sets will be scheduled for 45-minutes each. There will be a 15-minute break between sets. Note that a match could consume 3-hours with break times (assuming no extended sets). There will not be a time limit on any set.
FIRST SET -- BILLIARDS
SECOND SET -- SNOOKER
THIRD SET (If needed) -- 14.1 CONTINUOUS
Participants are expected to know all the rules of the games being played, the general rules for both billiards and pocket billiards, and the rules and regulations governing tournament play. The player chair rule will be enforced. During a match the referee will be the only person allowed to handle the balls. Applicable rules will be posted.
Signup will open March 4 and will close April 17 at 17:30. The schedule for the tournament will be posted no later then 18:30 on April 19. (First round games are the only ones that may get rescheduled, and then only if possible). If you enter this tournament please plan to commit to the times you are scheduled to play.
Forfeits due to late- or no-shows will be in force. All grace times for forfeitures are relative to the scheduled starting time (SST). A forfeit of the first set will be declared if a player is not ready to play by 15-minutes past SST. A forfeit of the second set will be declared if a player is not ready by 30-minutes past SST. The third set will be forfeit if a player is not ready to play by 45-minutes past SST.
Choice of break for each set will be established by lag.
