Player's in this first round have been randomly seeded.
In order to establish a reasonable LBPI these matches will be played to a minimum of 40 innings (after that match score is in effect).
Player numbers can be found on the LBPI Recap page.
Once a match has been completed email a high-resolution copy of it to both Greg and Ray. This will help in getting the match results into the computer in a timely way so generation of the next round isn't delayed.
The person spotting is always listed first (that way the spot is always a positive number).
The line after Pts | Breaker Play | Rack | Non-breaker Play | Pts (where Rack shows as VS) is where the starting scores and player names go. The left side is for the person opening the match.
Remember that a legal shot is required after reaching match score in order to actually win. (Some people have gotten the winning score and then fouled on trying for the legal shot, giving their opponent another chance.)
Be sure to record the Start and Finish times for the match on the offical score sheet.
In an odd ladder (a ladder having an odd number of players) the (non-forfeit) winner of the second-rung game has the option of playing the top player. For more information see the General Rules of Regulations section on "Ladder Matches and Ladder Movement".
