Symbol	Meaning
|	A half-height vertical mark (by hand) for each ball legally sunk.
/	Marks an end of inning.
. or :	End of rack  ('.' one ball on last stroke, ':' two or more balls on last stroke).
BB	Marks a break violation  (bad break) -- 2-point penalty on any opening break.
C	A scratch (1-point penalty).
F	A foul (1-point penalty).
S	A safety.
SC	A scratch on a safety (1-point penalty).
SF	A foul on a safety (1-point penalty).
(F#)	Shows number, #, of points deducted for a "major" foul.
(D#)	Shows number, #, of points deducted for a "deliberate" foul  (e.g. deliberately touching CB with other than cue tip to take an intentional foul).
(R#)	Shows number, #, of points deducted for a "referee" penalty.
(RQ)	Shows a referee declared forfeit  (e.g. for unsportsmanlike conduct).
Q	A forfeit (a person can only forfeit during their turn — before a stroke ends their turn — so as not to deprive their opponent an opportunity at run stats).
